General information regarding StreamStats is summarized below:Site: https://streamstats.usgs.gov/ss/Project area general description: The state of CaliforniaExcluded Areas: Parts of the Pit River, Sacramento R., Feather R., Ash Creek and Cottonwood Creek are excluded due to errors in the DEM. The Legal Delta and the Tulare basin below the 220-foot contour are excluded due to inadequate digital elevation model (DEM) resolution. Channel Islands National Park, San Nicolas, San Clemente, and Santa Catalina Islands are excluded due to missing data layers. Small portions along the state border with Oregon, Nevada and Mexico are excluded due to flow direction.ArcGIS version used for processing: Originally 9.1, with some updates using 9.2 and 9.3Was TopoGrid used to process DEMs? NoDEM and derivatives projection (general description): Albers Equal Area for conterminous US; same as NHDPlus Version 1. See http://www.horizon-systems.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV1_documentation.php for details.DEM and derivatives (flow direction (fdr), flow accumulation (fac), etc.) resolution: 30 mDEM source: NHDPlus V1 (NED 2004) http://www.horizon-systems.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV1_data.phpHydrography source: NHDPlus V1 (1:100,000 NHD snapshot) http://www.horizon-systems.com/NHDPlus/NHDPlusV1_data.phpHydrologic unit \"walls\" source: not usedGage basin boundaries source: not usedInteractive map snapping tolerance:3 cellsAlternate methods of basin delineation were used in place of StreamStats due to StreamStats range limitations as described above. The Feather River at Oroville basin boundaries created by StreamStats extended much farther north than had been determined by previous delineations of the watershed. The eastern boundary of the watershed created in StreamStats replaced with the eastern boundary of the Feather River basin created by the University of California, Berkeley.The Sacramento at Bend Bridge and Pit River at Shasta Lake basins created in StreamStats were modified on the south eastern edge of the basin. This portion of the boundary was replaced with the boundary for the basins created by the University of California, Berkeley.The East Carson basin extends into Nevada, and thus outside of the available range of StreamStats. The basin was created in StreamStats up to the state border. Boundaries created by CNRFC were used to extend the eastern side of the basin to the Full Natural Flow station located in Nevada.The Klamath River at Orleans and Truckee River at Farad full natural flow stations account for incremental flow in the respective rivers between two points. For the Klamath River, the incremental flow is calculated between Copco Dam and Orleans. For the Truckee River the incremental flow is calculated from below Lake Tahoe to Farad. Accordingly, the upstream portion of the basins that is not included in the incremental flow was developed in StreamStats and removed from the extents of the basin boundary.", "summary": "Full Natural Flow Watershed Boundaries 2020.", "title": "Monthly FNF Watersheds December 2024", "tags": [ "FNF", "Snow", "CDEC", "FERIX", "DWR" ], "type": "Map Service", "typeKeywords": [ "Data", "Service", "Map Service", "ArcGIS Server" ], "thumbnail": "thumbnail/thumbnail.png", "url": "", "extent": [ [ -124.249224631611, 34.0750258315222 ], [ -116.314275528881, 42.3255113462235 ] ], "spatialReference": "NAD_1983_California_Teale_Albers_FtUS", "accessInformation": "USGS StreamStats, California Department of Water Resources, Divsion of Flood Management, Snow Surverys and Water Supply Forecasting Section", "licenseInfo": "" }
